Authentic Connection
Sometimes life can be confusing or overwhelming for us or those we love. Are you or your loved one stuck in a cycle of dwelling on negative "what-if" scenarios? Are you struggling with the impacts of a recent change in your life (e.g. moving, job change, entering college, entering the workforce, becoming a parent, children moving out)? Do feel as if you are barely keeping your head above water when you consider your to-do list? Are you and a loved one constantly fighting or finding it difficult to connect like you used to? My passion lies in working with individuals and couples who are seeking confidence, safety, connection, and a future. If you are feeling stuck, purposeless, or alone, I desire to walk alongside you and help you discover that your journey leads to hope.
I graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I began my clinical work in community mental health while interning at AltaPointe Health Systems in their Children's Outpatient clinic. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, adults, and couples. I am trained in EMDR therapy and Level 1 Gottman Couples Therapy. I hold a holistic view that our minds, emotions, and bodies are all connected and must be considered as a whole unit rather than separately if we are to heal and grow. Overall, my approach to counseling is strengths-based and person-centered. I hold space for my clients to share what is on their hearts and work collaboratively with each person to help them achieve positive progress in their lives. I believe it is an honor to sit with another human being and learn about their story. If this resonates with you as what you are seeking in a therapeutic relationship, I look forward to talking with you and answering any questions you may have.
